Three Delectable Recipes with Peanut Butter

Not only is peanut butter delicious but it is very versatile. There are hundreds of recipes out there to create enticing foods with peanut butter.  

This healthy snack is a great addition for a proper diet. Let's take a look at these three delicious recipes with peanut butter. 

Peanut Butter Granola

This one is a great snack to make without having to go to the supermarket to get special ingredients. You just need to go check your pantry and you have it all there.


  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 c. oats

Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray and preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Mix the peanut butter and honey in a bowl and microwave until the peanut butter melts. Stir.

Stir in the cinnamon and vanilla. Add the oats and stir them until they are completely covered in peanut butter. Place the entire mixture on the cookie sheet and bake until it is crunchy. Cut into squares while still warm.

Apple, Granola, and Peanut Butter Sandwich

This is what you will need for this exquisite breakfast:

  • 1 cored apple
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1/2 c. granola (low-fat)

The apple will be the sandwich "bread", so slice it horizontally into several layers. Spread 1 tbsp peanut butter onto two slices of apple and sprinkle each with granola. Put the two slices together and enjoy. You can eat it sandwich style or with a fork. 

Peanut Butter Pancakes

Pancakes and peanut butter in one?! Who is not in!  This sweet combination of two favorites requires the following ingredients: 

  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 egg

Heat the peanut butter slightly to give it a more fluid consistency. Stir all the ingredients until well blended. Spray a skillet or griddle with non-stick cooking spray.  Cook the pancakes like you usually do and enjoy with fruit or your favorite topping.
